About the Artists
Donna Hoppe
"During the mid-90’s I began playing with a myriad of paper types from handmade to simple sulphite drawing paper. The intrigue was what would the paper do with folding, layering, casting, all kinds of fiddling, and how would it hold up being combined with other media. This has led to many different adventures. Since 2017, the primary focus has been on Eco Dye and Gel Plate printing. Both mediums offer the challenge and delight in producing one-of-a-kind prints.
Quite simply I love paper and experimenting with it is my playground.”
Jocelyne Comeau
"Bricoleuse” (tinkerer) by nature, I’ve enjoyed making art for many years. I use multiple mediums to create, and I like using more than one artistic technique to produce each piece. I like incorporating common objects found in nature and in my environment in these creations.
I make art because I enjoy it"

The travelling suitcase art exhibit explores the journey of individuals through their physical travels and emotional experiences.
The exhibit invites viewers to reflect on their own journeys, both external and internal and delves into where individuals have been both physically and emotionally, serving as a powerful medium for storytelling. It invites participants to reflect on their personal journeys, offering a visual and emotional representation of their experiences. Each piece of art symbolizes
significant moments, places visited, and emotions felt, creating a tapestry of human experience that resonates with viewers.
The exhibit will subsequently tour various locations over the next year.
Each venue offers a new opportunity to connect with the local community, enhancing the narrative and making it a living, evolving experience.
The exhibition was organized and curated by Denise Comeau and Margaret Jeddry.
